Foster Care

Since 1986 Excelsior Youth Center has offered Therapeutic Foster Care as a placement option and extended resource for identified youth exiting the residential program. Youth exiting the residential program have demonstrated progress on their individualized goals but may still need structure, treatment and positive support. Specially trained foster parents help youth continue to improve their emotional and behavioral functioning.

Support services include individual and family counseling, case management, liaison with community schools, on-going training, consultation, supervision, 24-hour crisis intervention, respite and referral to community providers where appropriate.
