SEPTEMBER: Climate Change

September Project

As we end the first month of school at Excelsior, we would like to share the results of our first project on environmental sustainability. Students have been working hard creating powered Windmills in class with Lego©  education kits supplied by Spokane Public Schools.  Excelsior students have been working individually and  in teams using the components as well as modular construction kits to design these powered machines. They are also creating  high-quality working prototypes of Windmills using battery operated, solar powered, and wind to move their machines.  Students are using the scientific method and  testing their experiments to identify improvements needed by assembling and testing along with their other assignments. Please help me congratulate our teachers Ronnie, Michelle, and youth  on a job well done!
